American manufacturing and FCC approval for robots and inverters made abroad
Since 28 July 2026 the FCC has not authorised new robots or inverters produced outside the United States. We obtain the Conditional Approval and build the American version of your product.
What changed on 28 July 2026
On 28 July 2026 the FCC added foreign-produced robots and power inverters to its Covered List. New models can no longer be authorised, and without authorisation they cannot be sold in the United States. Models authorised before that date are unaffected.
It reaches humanoids, quadrupeds, warehouse and delivery robots, mowers, pool and window robots, most robot vacuums, and grid-interactive inverters. What decides it is where a product is made, not who owns the company.
The way back is a Conditional Approval from the Department of War, granted on an American production plan with more than 65 percent US component cost. The first robotics approval came on 9 September 2026. Applications close on 1 January 2028.
