How we handle your email address

What we collect

If you subscribe to the approvals register email, we collect your email address. That is all. We do not ask for your name, your company, or anything else, and there is no other form on this site that collects personal information.

What we do with it

We send you an email when the approvals register changes, in English and in Chinese. Nothing else. We do not use your address for sales contact. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone outside the two processors named below. We do not build a profile from it.

Who else handles it

Two companies process your address on our behalf, both in the United States. The mailing list is held by Buttondown, which stores your address and sends the emails. If you reply to one of those emails, your reply arrives in a Google Workspace inbox we control. Neither is permitted to use your address for their own purposes.

That means your address is stored in the United States. If you would rather it were not, do not subscribe. The register itself is public and needs no subscription.

How to see it, change it, or have it deleted

Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link, which removes you from the list. If you would rather write to us, or you want to know what we hold, or you want it deleted outright, write to register@brightsaverindustries.com and we will do it and confirm in writing. We do not charge for this and we do not ask you to justify it.

We offer these rights to everyone who writes to us, wherever they live, whether or not a particular law requires it of us.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets one cookie, which records whether you chose the English or Chinese version so that you land on the right one next time. It is not used for advertising and it is not shared. There is no analytics script on this site, no advertising pixel, and no third-party tracker.

We do not track you across other websites, so we have nothing to change in response to a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

The site is served by Vercel, which keeps ordinary server logs. Beyond that, no other company collects information about what you do on this site. The typefaces are served from this site rather than from a font network, so loading a page sends your address to nobody.

How long we keep it

We keep your address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. When you unsubscribe, Buttondown keeps a record that your address opted out, so that a later import cannot accidentally add you back. You can ask us to remove that record too.

If you write to us about a job

Our careers page invites applications by email. If you write to us about a job, your message and anything attached to it sit in our Google Workspace inbox. We keep it while we are considering you, and we delete it on request.

Children

This is a business to business register. It is not directed at anyone under sixteen and we do not knowingly collect an address from anyone under sixteen. If you tell us we have, we will delete it.

Changes to this page

If we change how we handle your address, we will change this page and change the date below. If the change is material, we will say so in the next email we send you rather than relying on you to notice.
